Website Design & Optimization
Website design, management, and optimization is a daily aspect of my role as a digital marketing director. I thrive on building my technical knowledge, and I love working with my team to overcome challenges in this area. This is my favorite part of my current job.
Overview of Web Experience
- In my current role, I serve as the company expert in all things related to the marketing and communications portion of our website.
- I oversaw the retheme of KD College Prep’s website in 2021. While an agency designed our new site, I negotiated the contract, created the new site structure, made decisions regarding lead optimization, integrated new site goals with Google Tag Manager, wrote page content, and managed the overall project.
- I spent two years of my full-time career working for Caledon Virtual, a website design company based in Columbia, MO. There, I worked as a Content Specialist who managed SEO efforts for the company. I also held other responsibilities, such as quality analysis for new websites and producing proposals that responded to client RFPs.
- I am most experienced with WordPress, but I have some experience with Drupal, Magento, Squarespace, Wix, and Shopify.
- I have extensive experience working on the front end, and I have basic HTML/CSS knowledge related to my previous positions. I also manage several of the automations related to KD’s CRM. I am a fast learner and am very passionate about expanding my website expertise. If more extensive knowledge is needed to complete a task, I am always willing to put in the time to learn (or consult with experts in my circle).

I am a white-hat SEO specialist, which essentially means I always do things that align with Google’s guidelines. At Caledon Virtual, I managed SEO efforts for more than 30 clients. I have worked closely with experts with nearly 20 years of experience in the field, learning a variety of on-page and off-page tactics.
